Federal Supply Groups (FSG) 93 Nonmetallic Fabricated Materials

As such, we make sure that our immense inventory is stocked with both new and obsolete parts searchable by part number and National Stock Number (NSN). NSNs are 13-digit serial numbers assigned to items of the federal supply chain by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) for easy cataloging and standardization. The NSN is made up of two parts, a 4-digit Federal Supply Classification Group (FSCG) and a 9-digit National Item Identification Number. The FSCG is also made up of two parts, a 2-digit Federal Supply Group (FSG) and a 2-digit Federal Supply Classification (FSC). This methodical organization makes it easy to determine any item’s commodity type and classification.

Federal Supply Group 93, Nonmetallic Fabricated Materials, is comprised of fabricated or manufactured materials typically used in further manufacturing to create end goods. FSG 93 includes fabricated materials made of paper, rubber, plastics, glass, and other nonmetallic materials in the form of rods, bars, and sheets.
