About Caterpillar

Caterpillar was first established through the merger of C. L. Best Tractor Company and the Holt Manufacturing Company, forming the Caterpillar Tractor Company. Soon after their merging, the company’s products would serve well for use in the construction of the Golden Gate Bridge, the Mississippi Levee project, as well as the Grand Coulee Dam. Their tractors even proved beneficial during times of war as well, establishing their reliability and popularity.
