About MD Helicopters

MD Helicopters was first established in 1947, acting as a unit of Hughes Aircraft. After multiple moves, the company eventually was reformed as Hughes Helicopters, Inc. in 1981. During the years after their formation, the company designed and produced three major models that were met with success. These models included the Model 269/300, the TH-55 Osage, and the Model 300C. MD Helicopters also produced various helicopter models under contract for the U.S. Army, including the OH-6 Cayuse and the AH-64 Apache attack helicopter. In 1984, Hughes Helicopters, Inc. was acquired by McDonnell Douglas, and the company was renamed McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Systems. The subsidiary would be sold two more times, ending in the hands of Patriarch Partners, LLC, who renamed the company MD Helicopters, Inc. and established it as an independent company.

●        Products: MD Helicopter manufactures helicopters that serve a variety of applications and services, and some of these models include the MD 500E, MD 520N, MD 530F, an armed variant of the MD 530F, MD 530G, MD 600N, and MD 902 Explorer.

●        Services: MD Helicopters offers teams that can perform maintenance and repairs. Services include total refurbishment, cockpit upgrades, and inspections carried out by factory representatives.
